Testing width sawtooth generator and scope.

measured circuit

Calculated resonance frequency from L = 70mH and C = 10nF: fres = 6kHz.
Upper trace is the sawtooth with some damped oscillations on the steep rise part.
Lower trace is a magnified part of delayed sweep - delay 2,5ms to see better glitches on the rise part of sawtooth.

Oscilloscope screen-time base:
upper trace: 0.5ms/div,
lower trace: 50µs/div (2.5ms delayed sweep).
Reading from screen - accuracy about 20%, enough for our experiment.

oscilloscope screen picture

Upper trace: 0.5ms/div = 500µs/div.

Oscillator (base) frequency :
1 period = 2.5 div, T = 2.5 * 0.5 = 1.25 ms, f=1/T = 800 Hz.
Frequency of the dumped oscillations:
1 period = 0.4 div, T = 0.4 * 0.5 = 0.2 ms, f=1/T = 5000 Hz.

Lower trace: 50µs/div

Frequency of the dumped oscillations:
1 period = 4 div, T = 4 * 0.05 = 0.2 ms, f=1/T = 5000 Hz.

Both - calculated(6 kHz) and measured(5 kHz) frequency are nearly (+- accuracy) same.
